Meet Bearemy The Build A Bear Mascot

Bearemy is the loveable, huggable mascot of the Build A Bear Workshop. He was born on August 21st, 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri. When it came time to name this precious teddy bear, all the Build A Bear Workshop Stores were queried to come up with the perfect name for our new friend. A lot of great ideas and suggestions were submitted but the one that fit the best was from a young friend, Samantha from Madison, Illinois. She thought Bearemy was the perfect name and everyone agreed!

Bearemy is 9 paws tall which is equal to about six feet, four inches in human measurements. When asked how much he weighs, Bearemy just laughs and with a big grin, says "I love honey". End of story!

Bearemy's fame grew rapidly across America, quickly becoming the hottest bear in the country. He enjoys meeting and greeting guests at workshop store grand openings and at special in-store events. He loves to travel to various hospitals to meet with children or where ever someone needs a big bear hug to cheer them up.

It is a well known fact that Bearemy gives the best hugs and truly believes that a bear hug can be understood in any language! Beremy cannot keep track of the all the bear hugs he gives but it is estimated to be in the thousands each year!
